RHUM NEISSON - Wooden box collection cuvée ARMADA - limited edition of 110 copies 1991 - 45%
Neisson is an iconic distillery born during the interwar period, in 1931, when brothers Adrien and Hildebert Pamphile, nicknamed Jean Neisson, acquired the La Thieulbert estate, a 20-hectare sugarcane farm. Located in the northwest of Martinique, near Saint-Pierre and at the majestic foot of Mount Pelée, this estate is the cradle of a unique rum-making tradition. Adrien, the elder, took the initiative to install a small artisanal distillery while his younger brother, Jean Neisson, completed his higher education in Paris. While Adrien devoted himself to rum production in Martinique, Jean created an import-export company to ensure the marketing of the rums on the Parisian market. Passionate about excellence, he leveraged his technical knowledge by commissioning a Savalle column specially modified according to his own specifications, thus optimizing the exceptional quality of Neisson rums.
Today, the distillery remains in the hands of the Neisson family, a faithful representative of ancestral know-how, and remains one of the last authentic family distilleries in Martinique. The estate maintains its exclusive commitment to cultivating its sugarcane on its own 40 hectares, guaranteeing traceability and impeccable quality.
