Saint-James began its story thanks to the visionary intervention of Reverend Edmond Lefebure, then superior father at the Brothers of Charity convent and a passionate chemist. He quickly detected the exceptional potential of the spirits distilled near his hospital and decided to produce them himself... Thus, he created rums of remarkable quality which he named "Saint-James".
This rich and mysterious history dates back to 1765, the year the Saint-James plantations were established, whose heritage is honored through this exceptional cuvée. The aged Saint-James Rum Cuvée 1765 results from meticulous blending of rums aged more than 6 years in small oak barrels, revealing a perfect harmony between tradition and expertise. This prolonged aging in the cellars located on Sainte-Marie island in Martinique gives this rum its unique character, aromatic depth, and intense amber color. Certified A.O.P.
