Mas de la Séranne - Nero d'Avola & Agiorgitiko 2025
The Mas de la Séranne continues its work of exploration and creativity within the IGP Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert – Cité d’Aniane, an area recognized for its freedom of expression and the diversity of its Mediterranean influences. Located in a preserved natural environment, between garrigue and limestone reliefs, the estate benefits from a climate marked by bright days and cooler nights, favorable to aromatic freshness. This cuvée is part of a deliberately original approach, focused on openness and travel, while preserving the DNA of Mas de la Séranne: frank, readable wines centered on pleasure.
The cuvée Nero d’Avola & Agiorgitiko 2025 is a unique and decidedly Mediterranean red, made from a blend of Nero d’Avola (70%) and Agiorgitiko (30%), two emblematic grape varieties from southern Italy and Greece. This uncommon alliance gives birth to a wine that is both bright, fruity, and energetic. The vinification is based on a traditional fermentation in tank, followed by a 5-month aging in stainless steel tanks, to preserve freshness, fruit brightness, and drinkability. The 2025 vintage emphasizes an immediate, digestible, and accessible style, designed for convivial and relaxed consumption.
On tasting, the color is bright, evoking a clear and luminous red. The nose is expressive and gourmand, marked by aromas of pomegranate, pear, and tart red berries such as cranberry and redcurrant. The palate is lively and fruity, supported by a beautiful freshness and a light texture that invites another glass. The whole is balanced, thirst-quenching, and very easy to approach. This wine will perfectly accompany duck confit with its sautéed vegetables, red meats, cheeses, or even a poached pear for an original pairing. A sunny and modern cuvée, designed above all for pleasure and sharing.
