François Mikulski - Volnay 1er Cru Santenots du Milieu 2023
Domaine François Mikulski is located in Meursault, on the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy . It was founded in 1992 by François Mikulski, joined by his daughter Anna and son-in-law Thomas Boccon since 2020. The vineyard of approximately 9.5 hectares is spread across several renowned appellations such as Meursault , Volnay , Pommard , Aloxe-Corton , Saint-Aubin and Monthélie . The vines are cultivated according to non-certified organic practices , with particular attention paid to the preservation of biodiversity and sustainable soil management.
Volnay Premier Cru Santenots du Milieu is made from Pinot Noir from 2 plots whose vines were planted in 1947 and 1976. Vinification is carried out in vats with a maceration of 15 to 17 days, then the wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels, 35% of which are new.
