Ron Millonario is a prestigious brand owned by Rossi & Rossi S.R.L., based in Treviso, Italy. Originally founded in 1904 in northern Peru, the Hacienda Agrícola de Chiclayo is known as the "city of friendship." A group of passionate farmers had united to exchange their sugar and built a small traditional refinery. In 1922, the Peruvian landowning family Piera de Castillo bought the hacienda, the refinery, and the vast sugarcane plantation from the Gutiérrez family, thus consolidating a legacy of excellence. In 1933, Don Rolando sent his eldest son Augusto to study chemical engineering at the University of Cambridge, bringing valuable scientific expertise. During the summer of 1938, a ship leaving London for Peru carried rare sugar mills as well as a Scottish column still for distillation, symbols of innovation and quality. The Ron Millonario brand was born in the 1950s, representing the authenticity and tradition of Peruvian rum. In search of exclusive products, Fabio Rossi arrived in Peru in 2004 and rediscovered the unique richness of Ron Millonario.
The Reserva Especial 15 years is the original edition of Ron Millonario, the first to be marketed. This exceptional rum results from a slow and controlled fermentation of sugarcane molasses, followed by careful distillation using traditional techniques. Its maturation takes place over 15 years in oak barrels carefully arranged according to a Solera process, ensuring aromatic richness and complexity. Each bottle is enhanced by a handcrafted cover made of natural Toquilla palm fibers, woven by hand in the town of Catacaos, near Piura, in northern Peru. This emblematic presentation highlights the perfect alliance between ancestral tradition and artisanal know-how, offering elegant and authentic packaging that will delight lovers of rare rums.
