Prohibition Liquor Co is located in Adelaide, South Australia . The brand is inspired by the Prohibition of the 1920s; gin was the alcohol of choice, produced by smugglers. The company was founded in 2015 by two spirit-loving friends who sought to create high-quality, handcrafted products. Prohibition Liquor Co's product line includes a variety of spirits, including gin, whiskey, vodka and brandy. They are distilled in a copper still called "Mary". Prohibition Liquor Co is also committed to sustainable and ethical production practices . The distillery uses organic and local ingredients , and minimizes waste and energy consumption during production.
This edition is an expression of the original 59% gin, containing all 11 classic botanicals : Juniper, Coriander Seed, Ginger Root, Artemisia, Pink Peppercorn, Blood Orange, Ruby Red Grapefruit, Lemon Myrtle, Green Tea, Vanilla and Lavender. It is aged in barrels that have contained Bourbon then refined in barrels that have contained Shiraz red wine from the Barossa Valley .
