The prestigious Loch Lomond Distillery is ideally located in Alexandria, in the heart of the magnificent Highlands region of Scotland, near the famous Loch Lomond lake. Founded in 1966 through a partnership between Duncan Thomas, an American owner of the now-defunct Littlemill distillery, and Barton Brands based in Chicago, it embodies Scottish excellence in the art of whisky. After a full takeover by the American company in 1971, the distillery experienced a temporary closure in 1984 during the major whisky industry crisis. It was acquired by Inver House in 1985, then by Glen Catrine Bonded Warehouse Ltd in 1986, quickly becoming the most flexible and innovative distillery in Scotland. Since 2014, it has been an integral part of the renowned Loch Lomond group. Notably, Loch Lomond whisky is iconic in popular culture, being the favorite drink of Captain Haddock in the famous Tintin comics.

This exceptional 30-year-old Single Malt benefits from meticulous aging in second-fill American oak casks, ensuring remarkable roundness and smoothness. Half of this precious whisky is then finished in first-fill Oloroso Sherry casks, bringing a unique aromatic complexity with rich and elegant notes.
