The Loch Lomond Distillery, located in Alexandria, in the heart of the beautiful Highlands region of Scotland, is renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship and rich history. Founded in 1966 through a partnership between Duncan Thomas, an American owner of the now-defunct Littlemill distillery, and Barton Brands, based in Chicago, it embodies the authentic soul of Scottish whisky. Despite a temporary closure in 1984 due to the global whisky crisis, it was able to revive vigorously under the ownership of Inver House and later Glen Catrine Bonded Warehouse Ltd. Today, under the banner of the Loch Lomond group since 2014, this distillery is recognized as one of the most innovative and flexible in Scotland, creating exceptional whiskies. It is also the favorite whisky of the famous Captain Haddock in the well-known Tintin comics.

Loch Lomond Original stands out for its meticulous aging in three types of American oak casks: Bourbon barrels, refill casks, and charred casks, thus bringing a unique aromatic complexity blending sweetness, depth, and light toasted notes.
