The Maison Grosperrin was founded by Jean Grosperrin, who arrived in Cognac in 1991 after working in various traditional trades such as farm laborer, shepherd, and sheep shearer during the summer. In 1992, he became a country broker, passionately traveling through small vineyards in the region to find the rarest and most authentic Cognac lots. In 1999, Jean Grosperrin changed direction by purchasing several casks of old cognacs, thus beginning a unique adventure combined with the use of his three artisanal stills. This marks the starting point of the prestigious history of Grosperrin Cognacs.
In 2004, his son Guilhem Grosperrin took over the company with the ambition to build precious stocks and enrich the cellars with exceptional Cognacs. He carefully selects exceptional parcels and establishes exclusive contracts with passionate winegrowers, thus guaranteeing the quality and authenticity of each vintage. From 2012 onwards, Guilhem also developed a strong international network with foreign importers, promoting the worldwide distribution and recognition of Grosperrin Cognacs among discerning enthusiasts and demanding collectors.
Fins Bois No. 52-22 comes from a family of winegrowers located near Matba. This rare blend, crafted over 20 years ago by the winegrower, has been kept in demijohns since 2000. This exceptional Cognac was distilled in a very small traditional wood-fired still and aged in a unique cellar, humid with a beaten earth floor, offering ideal conditions for optimal aging.
