Launched in 2011, the Artist range presents each year an exclusive selection of exceptional whiskies carefully chosen by La Maison du Whisky. These unique Single Malts stand out for their original labels, created by contemporary artists. In 2022, the Artist series honors an iconic Speyside distillery, Strathisla. Located near Keith in Scotland, this distillery is renowned for contributing to prestigious blended whiskies, notably the famous Chivas Regal blend.
The graphic universe of this collection was imagined by the renowned artist Mathéo Modol. In June 2022, he captured nearly a thousand chiaroscuro images of the distillery, offering an intimate and unique interpretation. The range consists of 5 exceptional casks, distilled between 1991 and 2012, selected from over fifty samples to guarantee the highest quality and authenticity.
This exclusive edition of Strathisla was distilled in 1997 and aged for 25 years in a single reused Hogshead cask (#78844), ensuring a rich and complex maturation. Only 296 bottles were produced, making this Single Cask a true treasure for lovers of rare and exceptional whiskies.
