COGNAC LHERAUD - Cognac VS Terre et Bois
The Maison Lhéraud is an iconic player in the Cognac vineyard, located at the Lasdoux estate in the charming town of Angeac, right in the heart of the Cognac appellation in Charentes. Founded in 1860 by Alexandre Lhéraud, the first in the family to plant vines in his own garden, it continues an ancestral know-how passed down from generation to generation. Today, the estate covers 85 hectares of exceptional vines, spread over two of the six prestigious Cognac crus, with a predominance of Petite Champagne, known for the finesse of its eaux-de-vie. The Lhéraud family also owns five cellars made of the characteristic blonde stone of the Charente region, where Limousin oak barrels are carefully stored, ensuring a natural and optimal aging of the cognacs.
In addition to its expertise in Cognac, Maison Lhéraud also excels in the production of high-end Armagnacs, from the traditional terroir of Lannepax, in the Gers. Under the prestigious brand Baron Gaston Legrand, the distillation of Armagnacs is carried out by a simple and elegant distillation of dry white wines from the famous Ténarèze region, using a modern column still that respects traditions. This dual expertise in eaux-de-vie enriches the range offered by Clos des Spiritueux, which is committed to introducing you to authentic products from exceptional terroirs, with a deep respect for the environment and artisanal know-how.
