The Arran Malt is a prestigious Single Malt distillery located on the Isle of Arran, in the heart of the picturesque west coast of Scotland. Renowned for its artisanal expertise, it offers a wide range of whiskies with unique expressions, benefiting from varied and carefully crafted finishes. Founded in 1995, the distillery is strategically situated in the northern part of the island, at Lochranza, in close proximity to Loch na Davie, a vital natural source of pure and clear water essential for whisky quality. Initially, the grist (ground grain essential for brewing) was purchased, but the distillery has now installed its own mill, ensuring full control over the production process. Arran Malt is distinguished by its fresh, fruity, and delicately tangy character, the result of slow and controlled distillation in traditional stills.
This magnificent 15-year-old Arran has been matured exclusively in French oak casks that previously held prestigious red wines from a renowned winemaker in the Médoc region, north of Bordeaux. This unique choice of casks imparts elegant and complex notes to the whisky, subtly blending noble wood and rich aromas. This rare limited edition consists of only 2,580 bottles, making each bottle a true treasure for enthusiasts and collectors.
