The Arran Malt is a renowned Single Malt distillery located on the Isle of Arran, on the beautiful west coast of Scotland. This craft distillery produces a wide range of exceptional whiskies, offering unique expressions and varied finishes that captivate the most discerning enthusiasts. Founded in 1995, the distillery is situated on the northern part of the island at Lochranza, directly adjacent to Loch na Davie, a source of pure water used in production. Initially, the malt used was purchased, but a dedicated mill has now been integrated, ensuring full quality control. Arran Malt is distinguished by its fresh and tangy aromatic profile, revealed through slow distillation mastered by traditional stills.
This remarkable 15-year-old Arran has been exclusively aged in French Argonne oak casks, formerly used for aging still wines by a traditional winemaker near the famous village of Aÿ in Champagne. This maturation imparts an exceptional aromatic complexity to the whisky, both rich and delicate, with woody notes and a subtle Champagne minerality. This exceptional limited edition comprises only 3,060 bottles, making this rare batch a true treasure for collectors and prestigious whisky lovers.
