GLEN GRANT - 5 years - Vintage 1978 - 40%
\nThe Glen Grant distillery is ideally located in Rothes, in the heart of the prestigious Speyside region in Scotland, world-renowned for its exceptionally high-quality whiskies. Founded in 1840 by the distinguished brothers John and James Grant, former distillers and smugglers, the distillery quickly established itself as a reference thanks to its innovative approach after obtaining an official distillation license. In 1872, following the death of the founders, the young and visionary James "The Major" Grant, born in 1847, inherited the company and the "Glengrant" title passed down by his uncle John Grant. A true pioneer, he revolutionized the whisky industry by integrating innovative techniques, becoming a social innovator and legendary globetrotter who lived by his own bold standards. Among his many innovations, he was the first man in the Highlands to own a car, and the Glen Grant distillery became the first to be equipped with electric lighting. Under his leadership, the slender stills and purifiers, emblematic of the distillery, allowed the development of a fresh malty flavor and a unique clear color, iconic characteristics of Glen Grant whisky that enthusiasts still appreciate today.
\nNon-Peated – Delicate and fruity aromatic profile, ideal for connoisseurs seeking a single malt with a pure and refined character.
