The fascinating story of Old Brothers began in 2004, born from the strong friendship between Anthony Martins and Julien Leroux, who met while serving in the Army. Their bond was strengthened through numerous missions around the world, forging a unique connection. Anthony Martins, passionate about the art of spirits, trained at the Paris Wine School and earned a sommelier caviste diploma. In December 2015, he passionately founded "La Source", a Toulouse cellar specializing in rare and exceptional spirits. Driven by the desire to share their passion, they created in November 2016 an independent bottling company, tirelessly traveling distilleries worldwide to select the best expressions of artisanal distillation.
Each bottle of Old Brothers is meticulously hand-numbered and adorned with a plant fiber cord personally placed by Anthony and Julien around the neck. The label, delicately attached with a ribbon, is sealed with a wax stamp bearing the distinctive compass logo, an emblematic symbol of their many travels and discoveries around the globe.
This exceptional cuvée was born from a unique collaboration between Joey Starr, Old Brothers, and Ludo AD. It is a prestigious blend of 5 vintages from the renowned New Grove distillery in Mauritius: 1999, 2005, 2008, 2009, and 2013. This exceptional tasting rum is column-distilled and carefully aged in oak barrels that previously held ex-Bourbon and ex-Cognac, imparting complexity and finesse.
