Bourbon - Michter's 20 years - 57.1%
The prestigious Michter’s Fort Nelson distillery is located in the historic Fort Nelson building, situated in the heart of Louisville, United States. This iconic four-story building, completed in 1890, was originally part of the Nelson defensive fort, built by the first settlers of Louisville in the early 1780s. Purchased in early 2012, this building underwent meticulous renovation to house the first functional distillery in downtown Louisville. Michter’s commits to impeccable quality by using exclusively non-GMO American grains, rigorously classified according to the strict USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) standards at the US No. 1 grade, ensuring the highest level of grain quality available in the United States. These noble grains, including corn, rye, and barley, are shipped directly to the production site in Shively (Louisville), where they undergo laboratory testing before being milled using the "Michter’s Cage Mill," a specially designed and custom-made equipment by Stedman to ensure optimal grinding.
Michter’s 20 years is an extremely limited edition of 440 numbered bottles, offering a precious rarity for discerning enthusiasts. This exceptional bourbon has been patiently aged in new toasted American white oak barrels, revealing complex and deep aromas of great finesse.
