The Springbank Distillery<\/strong> is one of the last two authentic and historic distilleries in the prestigious Campbeltown<\/strong> region, located on the picturesque Kintyre peninsula in the southwest of Scotland<\/strong>. Renowned for its traditional craftsmanship, it passionately produces Single Malt<\/strong> whisky under three iconic brands with distinctive styles: Springbank, Longrow, and Hazelburn<\/strong>. Founded in 1828 by the visionaries Archibald and Hugh Mitchell<\/strong>, it was the 14th officially licensed distillery in Campbeltown. Despite the decline that saw many distilleries disappear, it remains one of the only two still operating, alongside Glen Scotia. Owned by the direct descendants of the founders, Springbank Distillery is a true family gem. What particularly sets it apart is its complete mastery of the production process, entirely carried out on-site, including traditional barley malting, distillation, maturation, and even bottling. This total control allows the creation of three exclusive styles, all influenced by the meticulous choice of casks and the region's exceptional microclimate. The parent company, JA Mitchell & Sons, also revived the Glengyle Distillery<\/strong> in 2004, where prestigious Single Malts are produced and marketed under the Kilkerran<\/strong> brand. Additionally, the renowned independent bottler Cadenhead's is part of this exceptional group.<\/p>
