PLANTATION RUM - Extreme No.4 - Clarendon MMW 1984 - 36 years - 74.8%
The prestigious history of Plantation began in 1989 when Alexandre Gabriel discovered the renowned Maison Ferrand located in Cognac. Driven by unwavering passion, he surrounded himself with a team of experts and traveled the globe to create a distribution network aligned with the values of authenticity and excellence of Maison Ferrand. From the 1990s, Alexandre Gabriel embarked on a unique adventure in the Caribbean, with the visionary idea of reselling his used Cognac barrels to local producers, notably those of exceptional rums. Thus was born the exceptional Plantation range, a true showcase of terroir rums from the best Caribbean crus. Today, Maison Ferrand is a key player around three major spirit pillars: the prestigious Grande Champagne Ferrand Cognac, the refined French Citadelle Gin, and the exceptional terroir rums Plantation. Furthermore, Plantation owns the famous West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados and is a key shareholder of the Jamaican distillery National Rum of Jamaica (Clarendon Distillery and Long Pond), positioning the brand at the heart of the greatest rum terroirs.
Endowed with rare complexity and an exceptional ester content between 200 and 300 grams per hectoliter of pure alcohol, this Plantation 1984 Extreme No.4 Jamaica Clarendon MMW, personally selected by Alexandre Gabriel for Clos des Spiritueux, embodies the excellence of the MMW category (Monymusk Wedderburn) from the prestigious Clarendon distillery.
