MARS - Komagatake Tsunuki Aging 2019 - 56%

The prestigious Shinshu distillery, belonging to the renowned Hombo Shuzo group (also known as Hombo Brewing Co.), is behind the exceptional whisky marketed under the Mars Whisky brand, recognized for the quality and authenticity of its Japanese spirits.

Founded in 1872 by Honbu Matsusa, Hombo Shuzo has a rich history in the art of distillation. In 1949, the company obtained an official license to produce whisky at its Kagoshima distillery before moving its expertise and production to the Shinshu distillery, located in the mountains, benefiting from an ideal climate for whisky aging.

This exceptional Single Malt matured for three years in the aging cellar of the Tsunuki distillery, offering unique richness and complexity. Bottled at cask strength at 56%, it provides a powerful and authentic tasting experience, likely an iconic preview of future creations from the Tsunuki distillery, inaugurated in 2016 by the visionary owner of Shinshu.
