Clos des Spiritueux is an authentic family adventure, passionately carried by its dedicated partners, Florence and Olivier Leriche.
These two inseparable accomplices studied together at centers of excellence, first in Bordeaux then in Dijon: agricultural engineering, viticulture, and oenology for Olivier; plant protection and sustainable agriculture for Florence. In 1998, they immersed themselves in the prestigious terroirs of Burgundy. This was followed by thirteen enriching years at the head of Domaine de l’Arlot, in Nuits-Saint-Georges, where they practiced whole cluster harvesting and fully adopted biodynamics, an ancestral and environmentally respectful method.
Burgundy, magnificent and rich in unique terroirs, remains a precious welcoming land, but their deep family roots lie in the Rhône Valley, from the Léman region to the Mediterranean. In 2005, Florence and Olivier acquired an old house to renovate near Privas. This marked the beginning of a passionate and progressive exploration of the exceptional terroirs of Ardèche.
In 2010, a rare opportunity arose: old vines for sale in Saint-Marcel d’Ardèche, forming perfect clustered islets. These optimal conditions allowed them to establish a domain focused on strict organic farming and biodynamics, thus strengthening their commitment to natural, lively wine respectful of natural cycles.
