Hysope is a French brand of artisan Tonic and Ginger Beer, recognized for its organic farming certification guaranteeing natural and environmentally friendly ingredients. Founded in 2019 by Mériadec Buchmuller, the brand draws its inspiration from a unique journey undertaken in 2015: a hitchhiking trip along the legendary "spice route" from Paris to Kerala, in southwestern India. This sensory and olfactory adventure gave birth to the exclusive Hysope range, a symbol of authenticity and excellence. The brand's offices are located in Bordeaux, combining local expertise and innovation, while bottling is carried out in the Cognac region. Production is supported by a French network, from the printer in Brittany to the careful selection of aromas in Grasse, Provence, the world capital of perfume. The flagship plant of the range is hyssop, a French aromatic herb with blue, violet, or white flowers, which provides a subtle floral touch. The natural quinine, a key ingredient for the unique character of tonics, comes from the Cayenne region in French Guiana, ensuring quality and purity.
The Classic Tonic, also known as "Indian Tonic," is a refined recipe incorporating authentic French quinine, enriched with a delicate infusion of gentian roots and bitter orange peels that bring a balanced and elegant bitterness. This tonic drink combines all the essential qualities to enhance a wide range of spirits: it pairs perfectly with all types of premium gins but also goes wonderfully with Cognac, vodka, Lillet, Martini, Campari, or even whisky, offering a rich and sophisticated tasting experience.
