Vintage 1967 - BRUT DE FÛT - 35 Cl bottle
Frédéric Bourgoin is a passionate winemaker based in Saint Saturnin in Charente (France), at the heart of the prestigious Cognac region. Alongside his family, he carefully crafts authentic and unique cognacs, blending ancestral tradition with modernity. His approach is based on natural and responsible viticulture, where transparency and subtle innovation prevail to offer an unparalleled tasting experience.
The family estate BOURGOIN, rooted since 1930, proudly extends over the renowned crus of Premiers Bois, Petite Champagne, and Fins Bois. Their goal is clear: to rediscover for French enthusiasts the richness and depth of a true winemaker's cognac, unique in taste and character, revealing the full typicity of its terroir.
"I fervently claim the exceptional terroir of Premiers Bois, a forgotten cru yet steeped in history since the original 1909 map. These Upper Cretaceous limestone soils, notably from the middle Cenomanian, offer subsoils of remarkable quality. I strive to produce 'natural' cognacs, without artifice, that express with purity and intensity the very essence of the terroir that gave them birth."
"Natural" here means: no blending, no filtration, no added colorants or sugars. The cognacs are rigorously bottled vintage by vintage, parcel by parcel, barrel by barrel. Older vintages are offered at their natural strength, thus reflecting their full authenticity.
For young eaux-de-vie, dilution is done exclusively with distilled rainwater to optimize aromas and preserve their purest expression. Racking is performed according to lunar rhythms and by gravity, thus using the gentle mechanics of fluids to avoid any excessive or harsh filtration that would alter the intrinsic quality of the cognac.
Bottling is artisanal and done 100% by hand directly at the estate. "I dedicate my cognacs to passionate wine merchants, demanding gastronomic tables, and experts in high mixology." Please note that production quantities are very limited, thus guaranteeing rarity and consistent quality.
Our emblematic cuvée? MICROBARRIQUE 1994 in 35cl format at 43% vol. This atypical vintage cognac benefits from a unique aging through a finish in a 10-liter micro-barrel, enhanced by crocodile bousinage (55 seconds of flame applied directly). The nose and palate open with a brilliant tropical bouquet: bourbon vanilla, jammy strawberry, roasted pineapple, and overripe mango, for an intense and refined tasting experience.
Clos des Spiritueux is proud to present this exceptional treasure, reflecting the heritage and know-how of Frédéric Bourgoin, for discerning enthusiasts seeking an authentic and committed cognac.
