W.L. Weller<\/strong> is meticulously crafted by the prestigious Buffalo Trace Distillery<\/strong>, located in Frankfort<\/strong>, Kentucky<\/strong>, the historic heart of whiskey production in the United States<\/strong>. Named after William LaRue Weller<\/strong>, a pioneer of the style, this unique bourbon is recognized as the first in Kentucky to completely replace traditional rye with wheat, thus giving it exceptional sweetness and smoothness. First born in 1849, it is still proudly identified as a "Wheated Bourbon"<\/em> (that is, a "wheat-based bourbon") on all its labels, a symbol of authenticity and excellence.<\/p>\n

An essential part of the prestigious Wheated Bourbon range, the W.L. Weller 12 years<\/strong> stands out for its extended aging that offers it exceptional aromatic complexity, far surpassing that of many other wheat-based bourbons. This slow maturation in American oak barrels gives it rich, sweet notes, as well as a long and velvety finish.<\/p>\n
