Clos Cibonne - Tibouren - Tradition Rosé 2024
The Clos Cibonne is a historic estate of the Côtes de Provence appellation, located in Le Pradet, facing the Mediterranean, on a terroir swept by sea breezes. Founded in the 18th century and revived in the 20th century by the Roux family, it benefits from a unique status within the appellation thanks to the promotion of the Tibouren grape variety, rare and deeply linked to Provençal identity. The vineyard, planted on schistous and clay-limestone soils, enjoys a maritime microclimate that favors slow ripening and natural freshness. Clos Cibonne is recognized for its gastronomic rosés, aged under veil in old casks, offering depth and aging potential. The estate today embodies a distinctive signature in the world of Provence rosés.
The cuvée Tibouren Tradition Rosé 2024 is the emblematic expression of the estate. Made mostly from Tibouren, an indigenous grape variety cultivated here for generations, it reflects a unique style, far from standardized technological rosés. The vinification is followed by traditional aging in old casks, promoting complexity and texture while preserving freshness and tension. The 2024 vintage, marked by a beautiful balance between ripeness and acidity, results in a rosé that is both structured and elegant. This cuvée fits within an authentic Provençal tradition, where rosé is conceived as a full-fledged wine, capable of accompanying the table.
On tasting, the color presents a pale pink shade with salmon reflections. The nose reveals delicate aromas of citrus, white fruits, and dried flowers, with a slightly spicy touch characteristic of Tibouren. The palate is ample, structured, and fresh, supported by a beautiful minerality and a long, saline finish. The whole offers a remarkable balance between gourmandise and depth. This characterful rosé will perfectly accompany grilled fish, refined Mediterranean cuisine, or elaborate summer dishes. It can be enjoyed young while possessing a good capacity for evolution over a few years.
Grape varieties: 90% Tibouren and 10% Grenache
