Hakutsuru - Umeshu Genshu - 19.7%
Hakutsuru Sake Brewing Co., Ltd. is one of the largest sake producers in Japan . It was founded in 1743 in Kobe , in the historical Nada region. The name "Hakutsuru" means "white crane," a symbol of longevity and prosperity in Japanese culture, reflecting the brewery's commitment to quality and tradition.
Hakutsuru Umeshu Genshu is made from Kishu Nanko plums , renowned for their thick flesh and ability to produce a rich-tasting umeshu. The plums are hand-harvested, carefully washed and sorted, and then macerated with brewed alcohol (sake) and sugar. This slow maceration allows the plums' natural flavors to fully develop. The final product contains no added acidulants, colors, or flavors.
" Hakutsuru Umeshu Genshu seduces with its enveloping sweetness and intense aromas of ripe plum, accompanied by a subtle floral and honeyed touch. Its richness and balance make it an ideal liqueur to enjoy neat, on ice, or in a cocktail. A true sensory journey to the heart of traditional Japan."
