Audemus Spirits - Covert Liqueur - 33%
Located in Cognac , the Audemus Spirits micro-distillery was founded in 2013 by Miko Abouaf . A visionary, he was one of the first in France to adopt the Rotovap , a rotary evaporator allowing distillation under low pressure . This process reduces the boiling point of the alcohol , thus avoiding any alteration of the plants by heat and preserving the intensity of their natural aromas . Each recipe is adjusted according to the botanical profile: maceration , dosage of botanicals , distillation time, pressure and temperature are precisely adapted. Once distilled separately, the plant extracts are combined in a French neutral grain alcohol to form the final blend. The Audemus Spirits range includes gin , liqueurs , bitters and hybrid spirits .
Covert liqueur is a delicate blend of fig leaves , cognac and spring honey . It can be enjoyed as a digestif, neat or on ice.
" Enveloping aromas of infused fig leaf, with a touch of floral honey and a discreet woody undertone. On the palate, a velvety roundness is elegantly expressed, supported by the warm depth of Cognac."
