The Asaka Distillery is located in the prestigious Fukushima region, in the heart of Japan, a country globally renowned for its exceptional whisky craftsmanship. Founded in 2015 by the renowned company Sasanokawa Shuzo, experts in traditional Japanese beverages including sake, this distillery combines tradition and innovation. It benefits from a source of natural ingredients of rare quality: the pure water used comes from Lake Inawashiro, one of the largest natural lakes in Japan, situated majestically south of Mount Bandai. The name Yamazakura, meaning "Mountain Cherry Blossom," evokes the beauty and depth of the surrounding nature.

Yamazakura Peated Blend is a unique blend that skillfully combines malt whisky with peated malted barley and grain whisky, offering a flavorful harmony. This blend is patiently aged in Bourbon casks, bringing woody and vanilla notes that enrich its aromatic complexity and captivate whisky lovers seeking authenticity and character.
