The fascinating story of Old Brothers began in 2004, marked by the deep friendship between Anthony Martins and Julien Leroux, born during their time in the French Army, with numerous international missions to their credit. Anthony Martins, a certified sommelier and wine shop owner graduated from the Paris Wine School, founded "La Source" in December 2015, an exceptional cellar specializing in spirits, located in Toulouse. Driven by a passion for taste and sharing, they launched in November 2016 an independent bottling company dedicated to revealing the treasures of distilleries worldwide. Each Old Brothers bottle is a true work of art: hand-numbered, adorned with a plant fiber cord by Anthony and Julien themselves, with a label held by a ribbon sealed with a wax stamp embossed with a compass, symbolizing their many travels and discoveries around the globe.
MGB is an exceptional blend composed of 3 ex-Bourbon barrels from the renowned Bielle distillery in Marie-Galante. These barrels have aged for at least 4 years in a harsh tropical climate, offering a unique maturation rich in flavors: they are barrels #751 from the 2018 vintage bottled at 54.4°, #618 from the 2018 vintage bottled at 56.8°, and #92 from the 2016 vintage bottled at 52.8°. This rare and perfectly balanced blend captivates enthusiasts with its aromatic depth and subtle complexity.
