The Penderyn Distillery, a jewel of Welsh whisky, is nestled at the southern tip of the prestigious Brecon Beacons National Park in the heart of Wales. Once lost, the art of distillation in Wales was beautifully revived in the late 1990s by a group of passionate friends who founded the first whisky distillery in over a century. The strategic location in the historic village of Penderyn was carefully chosen for the exceptional purity of its natural spring water, an essential element for the unique quality of their whisky. In 2004, their first expression was celebrated at the official launch on St. David's Day, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Charles, highlighting the cultural importance and international recognition of this exceptional brand.

This exclusive expression was meticulously selected and reserved for the French market, attesting to its prestige and rarity. Distilled in 2011, this whisky was carefully aged in a single ex-Bourbon cask (#149), imparting rich and complex aromas while preserving the purity of its character. Only 189 bottles were produced, making this single cask a rare collector's piece for discerning enthusiasts and connoisseurs.
