Bourbon - Blanton's Single Barrel #454 - French Connections - 60%
Blanton’s is an iconic brand of premium Bourbon, produced by the renowned Buffalo Trace Distillery located in the heart of Kentucky, United States. As early as winter 1881, Albert Bacon Blanton was born into one of the first influential families in Bourbon history. At just 16 years old, he began his career at the family distillery as an office boy, quickly climbing the ranks to become a key pioneer in the development and worldwide reputation of Bourbon. Under his leadership, after his appointment as president in 1921 until his retirement in 1952, the distillery expanded significantly, growing from 44 to 144 buildings, becoming the largest and most innovative of its time. During this period, Colonel Blanton built a very special and limited stock of Bourbon – his private reserve – carefully handpicked and preserved in what is now known as the famous Warehouse H. Although Colonel Blanton passed away in the spring of 1959, his prestigious legacy endures with the introduction in 1984 of Blanton’s Single Barrel, the first Bourbon of its kind to be marketed. This Single Barrel Bourbon is now a sought-after reference for collectors and enthusiasts.
This exceptional Bourbon was meticulously selected by La Maison du Whisky for its prestigious French Connections range. It comes from barrel no. 454, taken on September 9, 2020.
