The Domaine des Croix – Aloxe-Corton Les Boutières 2023 reflects the mastery and precision of David Croix, a winemaker renowned for his ability to express the depth and purity of the Côte de Beaune terroirs. Located at the foot of the Corton hill, the Les Boutières plot lies on soils rich in clay mixed with brown limestone, giving the Pinot Noir consistent ripeness and a firm but silky tannic structure.
The 2023 vintage, with its balanced and luminous profile, allowed for a beautiful expression of fruit and natural freshness. The manual harvest, gentle vinification, and aging in oak barrels (with moderate use of new wood) reflect the search for a balance between intensity and purity. The nose reveals a deep bouquet of black cherry, blackberry, and peony, enhanced by notes of undergrowth, fine spices, and warm stone.
