Founded in 2019 by Antoine Gravouil , a former financier with a passion for spirits, this artisanal distillery is managed on a daily basis by Arnaud Chevalier , recognized for his expertise acquired in London as a bar manager (Whistling Shop and Black Rock) and a prominent member of Fluid Movement, a leading company in the cocktail sector. Rhum Urbain N°2 is an exceptional vintage made from organic molasses from Laos . Distilled on site in 2020 using a pot still combined with a 6-tray column, this rum benefits from a sophisticated artisanal process. The rum is first rested for 12 months in stainless steel vats, before being aged for 36 months in 55-liter French oak barrels: some of these barrels contained the renowned Black Wall Rye (rye whiskey) from Bordeaux Distilling, while others are new barrels, bringing character and complexity to this exclusive double cask .
