Chambord - Raspberry liqueur - 16.5%
Chambord liqueur is produced in Cour-Cheverny, in the Loir-et-Cher department, in the heart of the Loire Valley. Inspired by a recipe dating back to 1685, it pays homage to Louis XIV's visit to the Château de Chambord, a symbol of French refinement.
Its production begins with the infusion of black raspberries and blackberries in a mixture of neutral alcohol and French brandy for several weeks. This slow maceration is followed by a delicate pressing, then a second infusion , to extract all the finesse and aromatic richness of the fruits. The resulting juice is then blended with cognac , Madagascar vanilla , citrus peel , a hint of honey , and a clever blend of secret spices , creating a liqueur as complex as it is elegant.
" A liqueur worthy of royal tables, as divine in a cocktail as with a dessert: a few drops on a cheesecake or in a glass of Champagne, and the charm works."
