COTSWOLDS - Wildflower Gin No. 2 - 41.70%
The Cotswold Distillery, nestled in the heart of the picturesque Cotswolds countryside, an iconic rural region of southern England spanning six counties, is renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship. Founded in 2014 by Daniel Szor, this artisanal distillery focuses its production on refined Dry Gins and prestigious Single Malts. The development of this exceptional distillery was supported by renowned experts such as Harry Cockburn, master distiller and former production director at the famous Bowmore distillery, as well as Dr. Jim Swan, a global specialist in barrel maturation who has collaborated with recognized distilleries like Penderyn in Wales, Kavalan in Taiwan, and The Milk & Honey Distillery in Israel. The distillery's strong commitment is based on the exclusive use of local barley of superior quality, harvested in the region and sent to the maltings in Warminster, the oldest operating maltings in the UK. Distillation is carried out using traditional copper stills: a 2500-liter Forsyths still located in Rothes for the initial double distillation, followed by a second 1600-liter still dedicated to purifying the Low Wines, thus mastering an artisanal process that guarantees an exceptional spirit ready to become an exceptional whisky.
The Wildflower Gin collection, deeply inspired by the lush and wild meadows of the Cotswolds, embodies the essence of the local nature. The No. 2 is an exceptional London Dry gin, made from juniper berries, coriander, and angelica, to which are added delicate and floral notes of natural essences of gentian, elderflower, chamomile, lemon balm, and a subtle bouquet of other carefully selected wild plants. This unique gin captivates enthusiasts with its balance of freshness, aromatic complexity, and authenticity, making each tasting an unforgettable sensory experience.
