Cognac GROSPERRIN - MMC1 - Pineau - Lot No. 1051 - 17%
The Maison Grosperrin was founded by Jean Grosperrin, who arrived in Cognac in 1991, after a rich experience as an agricultural worker, shepherd, and sheep shearer during summers. In 1992, he became a countryside broker, going to meet the smallest vineyards in the region to find the rarest and most authentic lots. In 1999, a decisive turning point occurred when he acquired several barrels of old cognacs. With his three stills, the unique adventure of Cognacs Grosperrin was born. In 2004, his son Guilhem took over the reins of the business, gradually building remarkable stocks and enriching the cellars with exceptional Cognacs. He rigorously selects specific plots and initiates privileged contracts with local winegrowers, guaranteeing the quality and traceability of the eaux-de-vie. From 2012 onwards, Guilhem expanded the reach of the Maison by meeting foreign importers, thus building a solid network of passionate enthusiasts and collectors worldwide.
MMC1 is a Pineau des Charentes made exclusively from musts mutated at Cognac Grosperrin and aged for a minimum of 8 years in barrels that previously contained refined old Cognacs. This exceptional wine is aged on fine lees, benefiting from natural aging, and bottled without any added sulfur to preserve all its organoleptic qualities and offer an incomparable purity of terroir.
