This remarkable edition pays tribute to the mysterious legend of the John Crow. It all begins with a daring theft on the mythical Hampden estate: at that time, Jamaican brandy was stolen by a notorious gang from Trelawny, a feared neighbor of the Hampden Estate distillery. It is from this stolen spirit, nicknamed "fire water," that the Jamaican overproof rum originates. This rum, beyond being a powerful drink, is traditionally used during baptisms, to ward off evil spirits, as an ancestral remedy, or during wedding ceremonies. The John Crow presented here is an authentic DOK (Dermot Owen Kelly) rum from the Hampden distillery, featuring an exceptional ester concentration of 1,600 gr/hlpa, ensuring an incomparable aromatic intensity.
