Domaine Aux Moines - Savennières Roche aux Moines 2020

The Domaine aux Moines is located in Savennières , in Anjou in the Loire Valley . Since 1981, it has belonged to Monique Laroche and her daughter Tessa . The estate has been conducted in certified organic farming since 2006 and is oriented towards biodynamics. The 12-hectare vineyard is located in the locality of La Roche aux Moines, enclosed in the Savennières vineyard, and benefits from a particular micro-climate.

The Chenin Blanc is harvested manually with rigorous sorting in the vineyard. The grapes are gently pressed then the musts are transferred to stainless steel tanks. A large part of the harvest undergoes alcoholic fermentation and aging in barrels. After 18 months of ageing, the final blend is bottled by a service provider.
