PRIVATEER - Conquest of Origins - Single Cask 530 - Bottled in 2021 - 55.5% ABV
Privateer Rum is a renowned company based in Massachusetts, United States. The ancestor of its founder, Andrew Cabot (1750-1791), was a visionary merchant, a passionate rum distiller, and a famous American privateer during the American Revolution. Today, Andrew Cabot (CEO and Chief Operating Officer), the sixth-generation descendant of this illustrious figure, embodies the heritage and tradition that inspire the development of Privateer Rum. He leads the company’s strategy with determination, working closely with an expert team to craft one of the most prestigious and high-quality artisanal rums in the world.
During the Revolution, "Letters of Marque" were issued to officially authorize merchants to operate as armed privateers. The Letter of Marque collection gathers an exclusive selection of Privateer spirits, produced in small batches, carefully chosen by their business partners. These bottlings stand out for their authenticity and unique character, bottled according to strict criteria defined in partnership with the Privateer distillation team. This exceptional expression, selected by La Maison du Whisky, was aged for 3 years and 9 months in first-use American oak barrels, revealing rich and complex aromas. Only 228 bottles were produced, ensuring exclusivity and rarity appreciated by connoisseurs.
Discover this exceptional gem in our Clos des Spiritueux range, where each bottle embodies rare craftsmanship, the deep history of privateer rums, and a remarkably refined taste, ideal for enriching your collection or offering an exceptional gift.
