Born in Bologna, Italy, Silvano Samaroli, the iconic founder of the house, began his activity in 1968 by selecting and bottling some of the best whiskies in the world. From the start, he was the only independent non-British bottler, thus revolutionizing the rare spirits market. In the 1990s, Samaroli expanded his collection by including exceptional rum: he traveled to the most prestigious distilleries, bringing the casks back to Scotland, where the climate favors slower and more refined aging. In 2008, Antonio Bleve, a passionate loyal collaborator, took over the management of the house. In close collaboration with a community of rum and whisky experts, Antonio continues the quest for exceptional casks, relying on the historic know-how of the House and new exclusive encounters. Samaroli also excels in the art of blending, subtly marrying the complexity of aged spirits with the vigor of younger ones, thus recreating the pure essence of whisky. This unique approach notably includes the use of new casks for whiskies and rums, bringing unparalleled depth and aromatic richness to classic Single Malts. The house presents Single Malts and single cask rums, rigorously selected for their exceptional character. Each Samaroli bottle specifies the year of cask filling, the year of bottling, the number of bottles drawn from each cask, as well as its individual number, guaranteeing perfect traceability and authenticity.
