The fascinating story of Angostura began in 1824, when Dr. Siegert created and perfected his iconic Bitter recipe in the historic town of Angostura, Venezuela. Since then, Angostura Bitters has become an essential ingredient for preparing classic and refined cocktails such as the Manhattan or the Old Fashioned, cherished by mixology enthusiasts worldwide. In 1875, the company moved to Trinidad, a Caribbean island where it is still based and where the rum tradition is deeply rooted. It was in the 1940s that the Angostura distillery began to distill its own unique Trinidadian rum, now offering a prestigious range of high-quality white and amber rums, authentic representatives of the Caribbean terroir.

This rare 17-year-old vintage edition from the Angostura distillery located in Trinidad & Tobago was specially bottled to celebrate Dugas' 40th anniversary. This exceptional rum comes from a single cask exclusively aged in Bourbon barrels, giving this spirit a remarkable aromatic complexity, blending elegance, richness, and finesse.
