It all began in 2009, in a small workshop nestled in the heart of Hammersmith, London. The founders, Fairfax, Sam, and Jared, restored the first distillery equipped with traditional copper stills in London since 1820. Their goal was clear and ambitious: to restore London Dry Gin with exceptional quality and authentic character, directly in the city where this iconic spirit was born.
Each bottle of Sipsmith is meticulously handcrafted in true small batches, ensuring unparalleled quality. Here, there is no automated industrial production, no mechanical cuts, but artisanal craftsmanship combining passion and expertise to offer an exceptional gin, respecting the most rigorous traditional methods.
The botanicals used are rigorously selected from around the world, retaining only the most noble and superior quality ingredients. The Sipsmith recipe is inspired by an 18th-century treasure, discovered by master distiller Jared in a historical work entitled "The Art of Distilling." Every day, the distillers precisely measure the exact amounts of botanicals, thus ensuring perfect balance and avoiding any overconcentration, to produce a pure and delicate gin with each distillation.
