Bénédictine - Period 1960 - D.O.M

Discover an authentic vintage bottle of the famous Bénédictine liqueur dating from the 1960s, carefully preserved in a Bordeaux cellar, thus ensuring optimal aging quality.

D.O.M Bénédictine represents one of the treasures of ancient secret recipes created by French monks. Made in Fécamp, Normandy, this herbal liqueur with an amber-yellow color is renowned for its natural medicinal virtues. In 1863, a merchant from Fécamp rediscovered this forgotten recipe and named it in tribute to the Benedictines with their famous motto: Deo Optimo Maximo – "God, most good, most great".

To perpetuate this unique know-how, a sumptuous palace was built to house the distillery where the liqueur is still made today with the same rigor. The traditional recipe includes four basic preparations composed of 27 different plants, carefully infused in alcohol then distilled to obtain a concentrate called "spirit." This precious liquid is then matured in oak barrels and delicately colored with natural saffron. Among the characteristic aromas that captivate connoisseurs are lemon balm, juniper, and angelica, true gustatory signatures of this exceptional liqueur.
