Château La Negly - Cinsault 2024
The Château La Négly, an essential reference of the La Clape appellation, stretches between sea and scrubland on limestone terroirs bathed in light. Benefiting from marine influences that temper the summer heat, the vineyard develops precise maturities while maintaining freshness and aromatic brightness. Under the impetus of the Paux-Rosset family, the estate has managed to elevate La Clape among the great signatures of Languedoc, with wines that are both structured and accessible. This cuvée highlights another facet of the estate, lighter, more immediate, designed for pleasure and conviviality.
The Cinsault 2024 cuvée is made exclusively from Cinsault, a Mediterranean grape variety known for its finesse, freshness, and crunchy fruit. The 2024 vintage expresses itself here in an airy and refreshing style, halfway between a light red and a characterful rosé. The vinification favors gentle extraction to preserve drinkability and aromatic purity, with a decidedly "glouglou" spirit. This cuvée fully assumes its vocation: a wine of immediate pleasure, simple in appearance but perfectly balanced.
On tasting, the color is clear and bright, with luminous ruby reflections. The nose reveals delicate aromas of fresh red berries, very refined. The palate is fluid, supple, and generous, marked by natural freshness and great ease of tasting. Light without being thin, fruity without excess, it stands out for its balance and refreshing character. Perfect with Mediterranean cuisine, notably a vegetable tian or a pissaladière, it will also accompany summer meals and convivial moments. Best enjoyed young, ideally within two years.
