Hinotori , which means "phoenix" in Japanese, symbolizes the rebirth of the Hekinan distillery , founded in 1949 on the island of Honshu in Japan . After ceasing its activity in 1959 following natural disasters, it rose from its ashes in 2019 with a new ambition.

The limited-edition Goldorak Edition pays tribute to the anniversary of the famous Japanese animated series. This blended whisky is made from a blend of cereals composed of 60% corn, 10% wheat and 30% barley, then aged for 5 years in American white oak barrels .

"This unpeated blend seduces with its silky texture and gourmet aromas: vanilla, toasted cereals and a hint of dried fruit intertwine elegantly. The finish, sweet and woody, recalls sweet spices and the warmth of American oak."
