COGNAC LHÉRAUD - Art du Temps 1973 Decanter

The Lhéraud House is located at the Lasdoux estate, in the commune of Angeac, right in the heart of the Cognac appellation in the magnificent Charentes. Founded in 1860, Alexandre Lhéraud was the family pioneer who planted vines in his garden, thus initiating an exceptional winemaking tradition. Today, the estate covers 85 hectares of carefully cultivated vineyards, mainly spread over two of the six prestigious Cognac crus, with a predominance of Petite Champagne, known for its ideal limestone soils. The Lhéraud family owns five historic cellars made of blonde Charente stone, where Limousin oak barrels patiently rest, ensuring a natural and harmonious aging of the eaux-de-vie. At the same time, from Lannepax in the Gers, the Lhéraud House produces a refined range of Armagnacs under the prestigious label Baron Gaston Legrand. These Armagnacs result from a simple, meticulous distillation of dry white wines from the unique terroir of Ténarèze, carried out in a traditional column still, thus preserving the aromatic richness and purity of the final product.
