Godo Shusei - La Tomato - Tomato liqueur - 18%
Godo Shusei is a Japanese house renowned for its expertise in the production of traditional alcoholic beverages , such as shōchū, sake, as well as various fruit liqueurs and ready-to-drink drinks. Founded in 1924 following the merger of four shōchū distilleries based in Hokkaido, its origins date back to 1900 with the creation of Nippon Shusei Seizō. In 1963, its headquarters were relocated to Tokyo. Today, Godo Shusei is an integral part of the Oenon Holdings group, a major player in the Japanese beverage industry. The company has two main production sites: one in Asahikawa , on the island of Hokkaido, specializing in the production of shōchū (accounting for approximately 70% of production), as well as small quantities of sake and neutral spirits; the other in Matsudo , in Chiba Prefecture, near Tokyo, where sake, shōchū, Japanese liqueurs and mirin (a sweet rice-based condiment) are produced.
This tomato liqueur is made by combining fresh tomato juice with syrup and a neutral alcohol. It offers the perfect base for revisiting classic cocktails such as the Bloody Mary or the Gin and Tonic, adding an innovative and flavorful twist.
"This liqueur reveals delicate and fresh aromas of ripe tomato, combining a light sweetness and a subtly balanced acidity. Ideal for a revisited Bloody Mary or a Gin and Tonic enhanced with tomato, it brings an original and gourmet freshness to your aperitifs."
