QVT is an exceptional artisanal distillery located in the heart of Provence, a region renowned for its sunny landscapes and unique botanical heritage. QVT stands for "eighty-three," referring to the department number of Var, the birthplace of this authentic and premium local production. Founded by a couple of passionate and visionary globetrotters: Anna and Justin, the distillery draws its inspiration from rich cultural and human experiences.
Anna, of Swedish and Estonian origins, has international expertise in project management and health development, having collaborated with prestigious institutions such as the Swedish Embassy and the European Union. Her unforgettable journey in Africa, with extended stays in Zambia, Kenya, Uganda, Sudan, as well as major cities like Bamako, Ouagadougou, Brazzaville, and Kinshasa, shaped a balanced vision between tradition and innovation, reflected in every bottle. The family even lived a full year in Khartoum, strengthening this human and multicultural dimension.
Justin, originally from Scotland, traveled across many continents, notably in East and Southern Africa, Pakistan, and Peru, before fully committing to the creation of the distillery. Founded in 2012, QVT benefited from five years of rigorous development, during which Justin visited the best distilleries in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany to master the art of distillation. The centerpiece, a handcrafted still made by Christian CARL, a German family business recognized since 1869, guarantees superior quality and traditional know-how passed down through generations.
The QVT gin stands out for its unique recipe, made from carefully selected natural and local ingredients: exclusive juniper, fragrant Provence lavender, delicate rose flower, wild rosemary, flavorful coriander seeds, and grape, which adds a fruity and original touch.
