Horgelus - Armagnac - 12 years - 40%
Horgelus is a wine estate located in Montreal, in the Gers . This region, renowned for centuries thanks to its Armagnac, today reveals itself as one of the most promising French appellations thanks to the increasing quality of its local wines. The estate was created in 1978 by Joseph Le Menn , of Breton origin. It is today managed by Yoan Le Menn , his son. The property extends over 90 hectares of vines, and more than 30 hectares of woods and meadows.
Armagnac 12 years old is made from Ugni Blanc and Baco, distilled using the typical continuous distillation method in a wood-fired still. Aging is carried out in toasted French Gascony oak barrels .
