Cognac GROSPERRIN - MMC Marée Haute - Pineau - 17%
The Maison Grosperrin was founded by Jean Grosperrin, passionate about craftsmanship and terroir, who arrived in Cognac in 1991 after working as an agricultural laborer, shepherd, and sheep shearer during the summers. In 1992, he became a country broker, carefully exploring small vineyards in the region to discover the rarest and most authentic cognac lots. In 1999, Jean Grosperrin took a new direction by purchasing several barrels of old cognacs, laying the foundation for what would become the renowned Grosperrin Cognacs. By combining his expertise with his three traditional stills, he launched a unique range of artisanal and atypical cognacs. In 2004, his son Guilhem passionately took over the family business. He built valuable stocks, enriching the cellars with exceptional cognacs, rigorously selecting parcels of exceptional terroirs, and initiating exclusive contracts with local winegrowers, ensuring optimal quality of the eaux-de-vie. Since 2012, Guilhem has also developed an international network, meeting foreign importers, which has allowed Maison Grosperrin to be recognized and appreciated by enthusiasts, collectors, and connoisseurs worldwide.
This Moût Muté au Cognac (MMC) is made from the Ugni Blanc grape variety, known for its freshness and balance. It was specially created by Grosperrin for Marée Haute, an expert wine merchant and recognized wine trader on the Île d’Oléron, offering a unique tasting experience with a Pineau des Charentes at 17% alcohol, combining finesse and aromatic richness.
