Cognac GROSPERRIN - Petite Champagne 1973 - Lot No. 803 - 50.6%
The Grosperrin House was founded by Jean Grosperrin, passionate about the world of Cognac, who settled in Cognac in 1991 after working in various land-related jobs, including agricultural laborer, shepherd, and sheep shearer during the summer. From 1992, he became a country broker, traveling the region to find the rarest and most authentic lots from small vineyards. In 1999, a new chapter began with the acquisition of several casks of old cognacs, which, combined with his three traditional stills, gave birth to the unique adventure of Grosperrin Cognacs. In 2004, his son, Guilhem Grosperrin, took over. He enriched the cellars with carefully selected stocks and exceptional cognacs. He also developed a rigorous selection of plots and established exclusive contracts with local winegrowers, thus guaranteeing optimal quality and traceability. From 2012, Guilhem met with foreign importers and created a strong network of passionate enthusiasts and collectors worldwide, contributing to the international reputation of the brand.
This exceptional 1973 Petite Champagne Cognac comes from a family line of notaries established in Cognac for several generations. This rare lot was part of the father's estate, who had bequeathed to his wife and son an exclusive selection of his private stocks. Originally, this cognac came from a prominent client of the notary office, president of a major Cognac house, which attests to its prestige and authenticity.
